The Experience

The 60 Minute Trial Flying Lesson in Kent offers an unforgettable introduction to aviation, giving you the chance to take control of a real aircraft and experience the thrill of flight first-hand.

Whether you’re considering flight training or simply want to try something extraordinary, this lesson gives you a true pilot’s perspective from the cockpit of a Cessna 152.

Your experience begins with a full pre-flight briefing from an experienced instructor, who will walk you through the basics of aircraft operation and the principles of flight. Once ready, you’ll head to the runway, where your instructor will handle the take-off before handing over the controls. Under expert guidance, you’ll learn how to climb and maintain level flight as you soar over the beautiful Kent countryside.

Throughout the 60-minute flight, you’ll enjoy panoramic views and the incredible sensation of flying an aircraft yourself. When you return to the airfield, you’ll receive a signed flight certificate, a lasting reminder of your first lesson and an official record if you decide to continue towards your Private Pilot’s Licence.

Important Information

There is currently no minimum age restriction for dual flying instruction. Your son or daughter may fly as Pilot in Command with a qualified flying instructor from their 16th birthday

The Weather

Like with all other flying experiences you may have to call the location a day before your experience takes place to check the weather conditions.

Session Length

Your experience will last approximately 1 hour.

Numbers

Your voucher is valid for one person and your flight will be just you and your instructor.

Spectators

Anyone can share this experience with you from the ground.

What To Wear

Dress comfortably and wear flat-soled shoes. Bring sun block in summer. Sunglasses are recommended all year round.
